PROVISION OF A CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE IN LINE WITH DEMAND

In order to promote the provision of a charging infrastructure for Berlin's economy in line with demand, we are driving forward expansion as well as efficient use on private sites. These areas can be used purely for private purposes, such as in a depot, or they can be publicly accessible to third parties, such as customers or residents. To this end, we help site owners to choose the right location, network the relevant players, prepare studies, and provide support for innovative solutions. Examples include "multi-use concepts" to increase the utilization of charging points as well as exchangeable battery systems for small and light vehicles.

The focus is on intelligent charging management as well as bidirectional charging, the networking of fleets to form virtual power plants, and necessary changes to the regulatory framework. This also includes the use of hydrogen for mobility.
