Task

We support the Berlin economy in the context of the mobility transition. As a competence centre for electric mobility and new mobility solutions, we promote the dissemination and testing of climate-friendly, innovative mobility solutions with and for the Berlin economy.

State Agency

eMO is an agency of the State of Berlin and part of Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie GmbH. Its work is largely funded by the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy, and Public Enterprises. Acting as an interface between business, science, policymakers, and government, we are driving the mobility transition. We support the Berlin economy in the form of projects, networking, and information. Our partners are the Ministry of Economics, Labour and Energy of the State of Brandenburg and over 70 companies and institutions in the worlds of business and science.

Dissemination and piloting of new mobility solutions

Our focus is on the dissemination of market-ready and market-orientated innovations for the electrification of commercial transport, needs-based provision of charging infrastructure, and the optimisation of corporate mobility management. In addition, we are making it possible for companies to collaborate on mobility sector projects in the form of experimental rooms for innovative mobility concepts. Among other things, these pilot projects are identifying solutions for sustainable city logistics, the coupling of the energy and transport sectors, and the digitalisation and automation of mobility.

Value creation and quality of life

From a business development perspective, we are supporting the mobility transition in the capital region and are helping to implement best practice solutions for the long term. We act as drivers, networkers, and experts that help identify, pilot, evaluate, and finally implement innovation potential. Mobility is not only becoming a factor in creating value for individual companies, it is also becoming safer, cleaner, and more sustainable overall.
