Focus areas
Specifically, the project aims to achieve the following goals:
- Shifting the timing of delivery and transport processes to nighttime hours (quiet trucks)
- Multi-shift operation through 24-hour availability of the trucks in line with scheduling (benefit generation with e-utility vehicles)
- Use of fluctuating sources for the provision of the exchangeable batteries (fleet charging with grid balancing) in the temporal scheduling framework of the vehicle deployment
- Improvement of the payload ratio
- Cost reduction of e-utility vehicles due to extended vehicle use
- Organization of 24-hour operation from the point of view of logistics, customers, and the regulatory law
- Introduction of an exchangeable battery system for e-commercial vehicles
- Development of scheduling-controlled loading in interaction with logistics service providers and energy supply companies
