SMART E-USER: Concept for electric city logistics
Focus areas
- The Smart e-User research project focuses on two application pilots in passenger and freight traffic
- Widespread use of electric vehicles (up to 3.9t) in urban commercial transport to demonstrate economically viable applications in supplying selected inner-city areas of Berlin with goods and services
- Identification of user groups for electric vehicles for urban commercial transport with subsequent derivation of suitable user profiles
- The project will determine the potential of an extensive implementation of the developed electromobility concepts from an energetic, logistic, traffic, and economic perspective, within the framework of a prototypical simulation
- Investigation of the possible uses and potentials of a city hub in electromobility, specifically in freight transport
