We want to make our city more livable and climate friendly - and that includes emission-free delivery of goods on the urban last mile. A rethinking of parcel and general cargo logistics is already taking place in order to be able to map a more city-friendly and environmentally friendly, but also smarter supply process in a growing metropolis like Berlin.
So-called "micro-hubs" or "logistics hubs" are part of the solution. These are smaller distribution centers close to customers that shorten distances and enable the use of small, CO2-neutral vehicles. The hubs are usually operated by a single service provider or provider-neutral joint shared use. To be able to direct significant flows of goods via this approach, we need a network of micro-hubs at suitable locations throughout the city.
eMO has already supported initial pilot projects and is now focusing on scaling and expanding logistics hubs together with you as a partner company. We interlink the market players and mediate between innovative logistics service providers and manufacturers of newly conceived, clever delivery vehicles as well as suitable location and space providers in Berlin.
Do you have a suitable location or an unused space or property? Are you a provider of sustainable logistics solutions? Do you want to enter the micro-hub market and need support?
